New Visiting Scholar at SFB882: Prof. Jorge Durand, PhD (Guadalajara/Princeton)

Prof. Jorge Durand, PhD,
Professor at the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) spends a research visit at SFBs invitation from April 21st to April 30th in Bielefeld.

The renowned scientist, who is director of several long-term research projects in cooperation with Princeton University since 1987, focuses his research on migration and transnational movements. Jorge Durand will give a talk on “The New Era of Mexican Migration to the United States. From High Tide to Ebb Tide” at the SFB 882 Colloquium and on “Retablo Paintings: Religious Folk Art in Migration” at the Colloquium of SFB 882 Project-Area C.
