Prof. Siegwart M. Lindenberg PhD, one of the most renowned representatives of the rational choice paradigm in social sciences, was a guest of SFB 882 at research projects A6’s and B3’s invitation on November 26th, 2013.

Siegwart M. Lindenberg (PhD Harvard 1971) is Professor at the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences of the University of Groningen and at the Tilburg Institute for Behavioral Economics Research, the Netherlands. He is one of the founders of the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology (ICS), member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), and fellow of the European Academy of Sociology (EAS). His main research interests lie in the areas of the theory of social rationality, self-regulation and pro- and antisocial behaviour as well as groups and relationships.
